it is OCTOBER, which means it's SHOCKTOBER, aka 31 days of spooky movies!!

we used to try to schedule the whole month in advance, with exactly 31 movies, and let me tell you: it is really hard to know if you'll *actually* be up for a lars von trier movie on some random day in october

so now we just make a big ol' list, usually 40 movies at least, and each day we pick one that sounds good! this also works great bc if any buds see one they also have been wanting to see, it's easy to find a day to do a (virtual, this year) watch party! (buds! @ me if this is u!)

the only rule is that the original halloween is to be watched on halloween. everything else is free game!

also pls always send me horror recs, i almost always watch movies that come with a good word of recommendation.

from here on out, i'll tag posts in this thread with #shocktober, so go ahead and mute if spooky movies aren't your thing
