Talks in WRC this morning went absolutely nowhere, with the Department once again unwilling to even discuss or consider the substance of our claim to end the two-tier system and regularise the employment conditions of school secretaries. @forsa_union_ie #SupportOurSecretaries
This follows last week& #39;s letter to @forsa_union_ie from @NormaFoleyTD1 which indicates a u-turn on the pre-election commitments made by @fiannafailparty and @greenparty_ie, and a regression on the position held by the previous government and minister. #SupportOurSecretaries
Our members are now considering a resumption and escalation of industrial action. This is not inevitable. A deal can still be done which upholds these political commitments, and delivers long overdue respect and fairness for school secretaries. #SupportOurSecretaries
