I want you all to be aware of the grim situation in my country India rn. A 19 year old Dalit woman died while being raped by 4 "upper caste" men in the Hathras district in northern India. Her body was cremated without the consent of her family-

in what appears that the police were putting pressure on the family to cremate the body immediately. The victim was tortured and grievously injured and was fighting for life in the hospital for TWO WEEKS!

Also it's sick and twisted that now some of the state workers are trying to prove that she wasn't even raped?!
The caste inequalities in India is inhumane, Dalits are being subjected and oppressed to certain ranks in the society or are deemed as 'untouchables'

I want you all to pray for justice for India's daughter . Women are not at all safe out here adding to it the ugly caste system that is prevalent.

Also know that the police "reported" that she wasn't raped according to a forensic report but in fact a Delhi hospital recorded that she was indeed raped and strangled on 14 September and the victim's mother claimed she found her body lying naked, bleeding and seriously injured
