Ok so hear me out.....only my closest friends and family know this but I’ll share with the world this morning 🙃
Honestly, i believe in spirits, spells, and that there is a such thing as “Magic.” I also believe that it has every bit to do with God but in religion, it’s known as “miracles.” It’s all real
🗣 STORY TIME!!!
Ok so when i was initially born, the doctors diagnosed me with polio and told my parents that I may be a paraplegic for the rest of my short term life
Now mind you, it’s February 1990 so polio was on the tail end of it’s terrorizing reign in America. My parents are distraught and my dad calls his mom. She comes to the hospital.
My grandma proceeds to enter the room where me and my mom were, cut hair out of my head, and just leaves. On the way out, she told my dad that everything would be ok and not to worry.
My dad is at the hospital with my mom and I for the next week. He said the next morning after the visit, my grandma called the room and told my dad that all was well and I was healed......y’all 🙃
The doctor came a day or two later to run some tests and that shit was gone gone......🗣I DIDN’T HAVE IT ANYMORE
That’s a praise report even 30 years later!!!!!
Ok so back to the story lol My Grandmother never returned to the hospital or anything. She just waited for my parents to bring me home because she was sure it was gone.
When they got home, there was a large dark spot in the backyard where my grandmother had burned everything that was given on my behalf as a gift 🔥🔥🔥......All i had was the onesie and blanket from the hospital.
She had also taken my hair and wrapped it around a nail and stuck it in a tree in our front yard.

SN: They cut that tree down last year and i was soooooo scared i was going to lose all the feeling in my body 😂😂😂😂
My grandmother performed rituals to rid me of Polio and until she died, she believed that someone had put it on me out of jealousy of my mom, dad, or the family in general. Now keep in mind, she is not a witch. She is the former First Lady of a Baptist Church.
She told my mom and dad to make sure that no one touches my hair for an extended period of time. See below of a picture of me walking but i hadn’t received my “First Haircut” which is standard in our families for young boys.
This was between Winter 90 and Spring 91. Head full of hair and I’m walking. Polio Where?!?!?!
So when i graduates from high school, i was excited to tell my grandma i was going to SU in Louisiana. At the time, she had long been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She stopped dead in her tracks and told me to sit down.
She told me the story about how i was born, how she got rid of it, and how spirits were real. She also warned me about the practice in Louisiana and to be careful about what i ate, drank, and wore. I was shocked because she was clear as day in that conversation
I swear y’all......it’s really real. Call it magic. Call it a miracle. Call it spirits. Call it demons. Call it what you want....it’s real!!!
I thank God for my granny. She the GOAT for giving me a fly ass pops and being my guardian angel even after she passed.
She still talks to me at night and she speaks to these kids through me on this campus.....literally! I’ll be like, “Did i just say that?”
The best granny ever. She saved my life!!!!
Ok last tweet. Y’all see how she holding me and got that “I wish you would try it” look on her face? That’s a real thing! 😂😂😂 Mawmaw did not play!
