Let's talk about the sheer height of sexism that exists in India- bc we need to talk about this

Let's begin with what's happening rn in India. A 20 year old girl from state of Uttar Pradesh, India was gang raped and brutally tortured with her tongue slashed. She had various fractures including spine

Her body was found naked by her mother in a field and despite her family's desire to look at her face one last time, police decided to carry on with her cremation without letting them do so

Upon this one of the former judges of the supreme court of India tried to justify rape in this way:

Sorry not sorry sir but the first two lines and the rest of the narrative seems quite ironical

This was not enough for some people so some people came up with their misogny and sexism to tell how married women are obligated to listen to their husbands and how educating women was a wrong decision
