One GM said that with the draft a week away, teams still have to completely reshape their rosters. Pricing is difficult to establish for deals right now. Makes me wonder if we may see some deals that look more like Bergevin’s PlayStation than the usual market. #Habs

One GM said players are available that we might not know are, and they may be traded just because another team is willing to take the contract rather than based on their typical value. If Bergevin is truly willing to use his cap space, it sounds like there will be options. #Habs

One NHL source noted that BriseBois has six more players to get under contract and less than $6M to spend. I wonder how a Stanley Cup hangover influences your interest in waiving a no movement clause. This is a well I hope Bergevin can draw from. #Habs

The RFA market seems like a good option for Bergevin to improve the #habs. One agent told Custance that TML is not expected to qualify Rodrigues, and likewise EDM with Athanasiou. Some will become UFAs, or perhaps Bergevin can add both a contract and an RFA for a bargain.

Bergevin is not the only GM that has cap space to use as an asset. Teams like Ottawa and Detroit will be in the mix for good players cap strapped teams have to dump. #Habs fans should be prepared to see some very nice deals you wish Bergevin had made.
