1-Thread: diversion of long axis forces around Anuket neck

#67P stretched along its long axis as a single body before splitting to 2 lobes

As the neck herniated, the long axis forces were diverted around the end of the incipient neck i.e. where Anuket was extruded from the body
2- showing neck base rim and delamination vectors of the yellow features. There’s another delamination to the right just off screen beyond the right hand yellow slide vector

Overview is repeated so you can start to see the beautifully symmetrical slide pattern around neck #67P
3- showing 1 layer back of 3 delaminations of same feature. These 3 are on a recoiled layer & tighter together because they were pinned by the NTFV/STFV (long axis tensile forces) in the ‘lee’ of the Anuket neck: there was a steep shear gradient across both the NTFV and STFV #67P
4- showing the ‘shear line’ on the body which is the line along which the head rim sat. It’s in terracotta dots. The head rim is labelled- it almost follows the stark light/shadow line (but not quite). Note gap in shear line commensurate with the layer that recoiled

#67P
5- this shows coloured dots on the head rim and shear line that denote features that used to be mated together when the head rim sat in the body. Yellow on head rim should be a little way into the white area but placed for visibility. Green on head rim is off screen

#67P
6- same photos as in last tweet: the head rim is tilted up towards us slightly. This also accounts for yellow looking more displaced back on the body. Needless to say, everything in this thread is based on study of 100s of photos, not just this one. END (for now)
