It is disheartening that #NigeriaAt60 still lacks policy direction six decades after Independence. We need selfless leaders to restore her to path of greatness and ideal governance which was the dream of our Nationalists. @MobilePunch @nigeriantribune @insideoyo @OfficialPDPNig
God has been so good to Nigeria as it has blessed her with abundant human and material resources. The period must be used to pray for the country and to review and assess the nation's journey since Independence with a view to righting the wrongs.
#NigeriaIndependence
It will be recalled that Pa Anthony Enahoro moved Nigeria’s first motion for independence in 1953, when he was 30 years old. That singular act, executed by a youth 67 years ago, continues to be viable precedent.
I now speak directly to those of us who are the future of Nigeria; those of us who can see something of ourselves in the young Pa Enahoro - let us, individually and collectively, move a motion for our future.
Like the 30year old Enahoro did, let us opt for development, progress and growth. On this 60th anniversary of our independence from colonial masters, let us elect to liberate ourselves from the mental shackles that bind us; let us not dwell on the things that divide us.
Our shared history has instilled malleability in us; where others have broken, we have remained resilient, this is evident by our unique mien as the happiest people on Earth. Let us recognise that within the multi-faceted nature of our heterogeneity, we remain of the same plumage
Nigeria, our motherland, has given us herself, and in so doing, she has also given us ourselves. Accordingly, I beseech us to be of solemn comportment as we also make genuine attempts at giving ourselves to her.
