RANT

I have worked with quite a few #branding agencies over the years. I have *never*, in 17 years as a designer, received an accessible colour palette. Even when it& #39;s a web-specific palette. Even on multi-mill contracts.

Happened again this morning. It& #39;s just unacceptable.
If you don& #39;t know, the accessibility of websites is covered by the Equality Act 2010. It asks for "reasonable adjustments" for disability. Now, that hasn& #39;t been tested in law. But WCAG AA is a common standard used by gov and regulated industries.
So, we do *actually* know what the standard is. And if you& #39;re just producing a palette, it& #39;s not exactly complicated to get it right.

So, we& #39;ve had the Equality Act since 2010. But we& #39;ve had WCAG since 1999!!! SO THESE STANDARDS AREN& #39;T NEW.
Most #branding companies need to get their shit together on accessibility.

So - if you& #39;re hiring a branding company, make sure they do work to accessibility standards and test with disabled customers.
