RANT

I have worked with quite a few #branding agencies over the years. I have *never*, in 17 years as a designer, received an accessible colour palette. Even when it's a web-specific palette. Even on multi-mill contracts.

Happened again this morning. It's just unacceptable.
If you don't know, the accessibility of websites is covered by the Equality Act 2010. It asks for "reasonable adjustments" for disability. Now, that hasn't been tested in law. But WCAG AA is a common standard used by gov and regulated industries.
So, we do *actually* know what the standard is. And if you're just producing a palette, it's not exactly complicated to get it right.

So, we've had the Equality Act since 2010. But we've had WCAG since 1999!!! SO THESE STANDARDS AREN'T NEW.
Most #branding companies need to get their shit together on accessibility.

So - if you're hiring a branding company, make sure they do work to accessibility standards and test with disabled customers.
