I want to take you down memory lane. This is going to be a list of times the EU or it’s member states have ignored EU treaties or international law, why? Because I am fed up with everyone acting like the Internal Market bill is on par with Hitler invading Poland! Strap in.

(There’s more in the article in the previous tweet as well).

France, they must be the team player? They wouldn’t for instance be that unstable they would attack U.K. fishing boats and Spanish wine?

What about just general trade rules? The EU wouldn’t break the rules set by the WTO, and if they did and lost in arbitration they’d put it right surely? Nope they just carry on ignoring the ruling. Here’s 1 example.

Here’s another example, I mean with the countless examples I can show of the EU breaching WTO rules, they’d have to be mad to want to apply sanctions to nations that breach rules? No, they want harder sanctions, it’s unbelievable.

I truly think I could use all 25 tweets. Then I could use another 25 and keep going and going with the amount of times the EU have ignored international law, they can’t even meet (the NATO members) the spending targets for that, or the foreign aid percentage target.

So yes, the U.K. might be about to breach an agreement that was structured in a ridiculous way, but don’t bother telling me that it will have repercussions where other nations won’t want to trade with us. That we are the worst nation in the world because of it.

I see this breach (which might not even happen) as a way to protect peace (the GFA) and the UKs internal market which is as important as the EUs single market is to them.

They know what they need to do. Drop the bad faith, negotiate with a realistic approach.

Then we will probably get a deal, the U.K. won’t breach the WA (specifically the NI protocol) and importantly, we will be morally superior to the EU so nations should look to us in the EU for how to follow international law. 🤷‍♂️😂

If you have made it this far, well done I think I was falling asleep writing it, thank you, now just scroll up and give it a retweet so someone else can suffer like you have 😉 if you’d like.

Hope you enjoy, last comment. I’m not saying this gives us a right to break the law...
...I’m just saying that in my opinion when compared to the EUs transgressions (of which they have sullied our name at the same time) we wouldn’t be as “bad” as is being said. Let’s keep calm and get a deal.

I eagerly await counterpoints and constructive feedback. 👍🏻
