Will be covering today's Mid Autumn Festival themed #HongKongProtests events in Causeway Bay. Thread begins.
Large scale atop and serch taking place on Paterson Street. Police taking their sweet time to search those behind the orange cordon line one by one.
A sticker proclaiming "No Rioters, Only Tyranny" with the police manning the cordon in the background kind of making the point.
A mysterious device playing the song Glory to Hong Kong appears!
Purple flag goes up in response to the song being played.
Another large scale stop and search. Some obviously having just done their shopping at a store across the street, grocery bag still in hand. Police are asking people to unlock their phones and going through the content. – bei Don Don Donki
Two large white charter buses have entered the cordon zone, likely to take those currently detained away.
Footage of an officer going through another person's phone.
Blue flag raised briefly against the crowd assembled outside the cordon, as the crowd yells at those arrested to stay strong and hurl occasional insults at the police for another mass arrest.
Local media outlets reporting ∼60 arrests, live streamer next to me counted 46 male, 16 female.
Oh cool, they did the Nathan Road thing.
Police have pushed into Great George St. from both sides, sealing off the area from both sides. Many trapped, commotion at the entrance of a mall as police enter to take people back out.

Behind the cordon line now.
Cops taking down personal info and searching through personal belongings. First few have been released.
Person on ground, likely cuffed. Reason unknown.
Additional persons that were outside the cordon ordered inside for unknown reasons.
Police demonstrate the usage of orange cordon tape.
A leaflet stuck to a shop window draws attention to the 12 HKers that have been detained in the PRC for over a month. #save12hkyouths
A more succinct version, which rhymes in Canto. Rough translation: "Our Righteous are not forgotten. Release the 12."
Volunteer medics, which have been here for most of the day are now packed up and ready to call it a day.
Just as the last post went out, the volunteer medics gets stopped and searched by a squad of anti riot police.
A cop with a video camera documents the faces, names and ID numbers of those that have been searched.
A collection of photos of cops rummaging through medical supplies.

If only there was some sort of clear marking on their belongings or on their clothing…
EARLIER: Another photo gets added to my collection of police standing outside name brand stores.
Local internet celebrity Haklam Lam strolls by, draped in a PRC flag and carrying a second one to "celebrate" this day.
Police seem somewhat confused by his antics. A local who seems unaware of his identity also taking his act of overt nationalism as a genuine one and is waving a picture of Mao at his face.
The GoPro thing on the helmets really gives the police a Teletubbies vibe.
Normality returns to Causeway Bay, police still around though.
A collection of stickers found throughout the day.

"History will deem us to be innocent."
