After a few days of digesting #TicketsToMyDownfall https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt="">, I realized something *huge* about the album. But none of the reviews I saw got it. There& #39;s a little explanation, so bear w me.

TTMD is all about the relationships we have w other people.

It starts off addressing fake friends and the ways we cope w being surrounded by fake people. Then it talks about relationships that feel real but are actually fake love. Both these themes are interlaced throughout the album— but then there’s a twist!

The album which seems like an anthem for hating the people around you, becomes the reason to love the people in ur life. Now the songs are about how precious our time is w loved ones, feeling real love for the 1st time, & how our love will carry on after we’re gone.

#TicketsToMyDownfall https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> did more than just revive the genre of pop-punk. It evolved the themes. Sure, it’s cool to jam to anthems of angst and annoyance w people in your life. But now, we are forced to face a reality of life— The people around us are what make life meaningful.

#TicketsToMyDownfall https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> gets you to appreciate the people who care about you. During the pandemic, it’s something we have begun to realize more than ever— The power of human connection.

Tickets To My Downfall is the anthem for a generation growing up in a crazy, new world.
