Ok, I'm not going to go through this one by one, but there are some obvious problems in this thread. It's mostly just a collection of wishful thinking and fallacies. If the left stands for anything, it stands for critical thinking, and that's completely missing here. https://twitter.com/RodericDay/status/1311162398317969413
If this is a "debunking," you're asking us to believe that someone in a state-run detention facility is free to speak his mind to foreign journalists. This might be a low-security one, but the guy knows there are worse. These are Potemkin village tours. https://twitter.com/RodericDay/status/1287411708374454273?s=20
How is Pakistani officials endorsing this policy evidence for anything? What exactly does that prove? Pakistan is a close friend of China, and not exactly a champion of human rights when it comes to the War on Terror. https://twitter.com/RodericDay/status/1287414030647332864?s=20
There was nothing official from the UN side on this, so it's basically meaningless. China claims they were generally Ok with things. They would say that. But even they were - don't you have a critique of international counter-terrorism institutions? https://twitter.com/RodericDay/status/1287414958326788097?s=20
Again, what is this meant to prove? I can point you to Indigenous Australians who'll run apologetics for the mass incarceration of their people in Australia today - and who actually do have freedom of speech. You wouldn't find that convincing, would you? https://twitter.com/RodericDay/status/1287418260317667328?s=20
The rest of the thread basically consists of:

1) There are Uyghur activists who share unreliable material. Yes there are.

2) There are oddball Cold Warrior types pushing this issue. Yes there are.
None of that obviates the need for us to form an independent view of the issue. The fact is that many people have been put through detention facilities of various kinds, and many given long jail sentences. If you can't see this as a situation of repression, you've lost the plot.
