1:30 am and stress looking for jobs in my area so I know where to apply in case my request for time off of work for a funeral goes poorly tomorrow :) I love working for a multi billion dollar corporation :)

I worry for several reasons, the biggest being I’ve requested days off over a month in advance and been denied due to “lack of coverage”, despite requesting a more staffed day (week days as opposed to weekends)

Ok I’m mad and nobody asked for this thread BUT: for those who don’t know, the very inconspicuous large store I work for that I won’t mention in this (but u know), does not offer employees sick days. At all. You have two options: paid time off OR protected paid time off -

Basically paid time off you earn as a full time employee, over time. You can request paid time off (this is your vacation time), but still be denied. Protected paid time off can’t be denied.
