Hey 👋 its #Hacktoberfest as of tomorrow, so I thought I'd point out some repos from the Tech Community here in Tokyo 🗼 you might be interested in contributing to!
Thread 🧵 below 👇 (reply with your links and I'll keep adding them!)
😷 The COVID19Japan tracker from @reustle we've probably all used is an open source project! And it has quite a large number of open issues on its Repo. It uses Javascript across the stack. Take a look! https://github.com/reustle/covid19japan
🚆 Speaking of which, one of the major contributors to the COVID tracker @liquidx has an interesting digital art project to turn the Tokyo metro map into cool images which I saw them present on a while back. Worth a look! https://github.com/liquidx/japan-trains-data
👩‍💻 The SpeakHer project you might have heard of from @tuttiq, @yanarchy & @stonecoldkilzer is also an open source project, its a Vue stack with an Airtable backend so ya'll should get off to a flying start 🚀 and its a great resource to be supporting! https://github.com/WWCodeTokyo/speak-her-db
👻 My great friend @sidiousvic recently developed a high-speed, low impact Frontend Framework called Phantom. Give it a go! And knock down a couple of those issues while your at it! https://github.com/sidiousvic/phantom
🔌 my own project Denki Carbon is focused on bringing open access to Japanese electricity carbon data! I have a React Education Website and an Open API in Python and theres a bunch of issues ready to be worked on!
