저 이제 얼마 안 남았습니다. I can understand why so many ppl went crazy over this sentence. There's alot of things unsaid, but at the same time, volumes were expressed. He said "I don't have much time left (before discharge)". First & foremost, it's an assurance. Cos the fans-
reading his Chuseok msg will think of how he's still in the army. So this is reflective of his typical gentle nature. There's no "you must be waiting for very long right?" He's never asked us of anything. No expectations. No strings attached. We were never asked to wait. He knows
there are ppl waiting though. And to that, there's no extravagant words, juz a factual, solid statement, "It's not long now." What's left unsaid are the 'thank you for waiting', 'don't worry', 'I'll be back soon'. It's in the same vein as his "aigoo, it's not like I'm emigrating.
It's not a big deal. But if the waiting is too hard, then it's ok, I'm not asking you to stay. But if you've been waiting still even though it's hard, hey, take heart. I'm coming back soon. It's not long now. It's both an assurance, & a promise. That if you have been waiting,
it's juz a little bit more, it's not long now. The promise is in the unspoken words, "I'll be back soon." He didn't say it, but the implication is loud & clear. Isn't this so Kyungsoo?
