dry food is bad for cats and if you can afford to switch your cat to wet food you absolutely should. cats are obligate carnivores and their bodies are not designed to process the carbs that dry food, including "high quality" dry food, is loaded up with.

Does your cat have urinary tract issues? probably bc you're feeding dry. do you have a cat with diabetes? dry food! do you have a cat with kidney failure? you can thank dry food for that.

Did your vet recommend you buy a "Special urinary care" dry food brand? (probably purina)? Guess what, they are earning a commission on every bag of that garbage sold. a lot of vets do not have any fucking conscience and will sell anything for a buck.

a lot of ppl feel attacked when i bring this up and they tell me their cat eats dry. it's fine. it's not your fault. you are programmed to believe that cats can survive on a diet of convenience and it isn't your fault for buying into it. HOWEVER.

IF you have the means, and IF you have the patience and time req'd to switch your cat to wet food, i highly recommend it. it will save u a lot of grief, heartache, and vet trips. Any wet food is better for your cat than the most high quality dry food. This is a hill i will die on
