The idea that America changing to something older generations can’t recognize being a bad thing is baffling.
That’s supposed to happen. At some point, I won’t recognize what America will be.

Of course, I thought that it would be because the generations after me had built new systems to fit their world. I did not think it would be my parent’s generation and older trying to remake the fascism we fought in WW2 over here.

All societies are meant to change. We aren’t supposed to hit some point of history and that’s it. Our history ends with the last humans on earth, not because the Berlin Wall was toppled.
That isn’t clearance to kill most of humanity, btw.
