please don't give me movies that aren't SUPPOSED TO BE horror/scary movies.

i think there's maybe a difference between a movie that just startles you repeatedly and one that like...just makes you not want to be by yourself, or in the dark. i ALSO think we should distinguish genuinely scared from like, genuinely disturbed.

my most clear cut examples of genuinely disturbed-
"funny games" (the movie my dad always brings up when we talk about the truly fucked up things we've seen) and "we need to talk about kevin."

they're not horror, per se....
but they're horrifying.

i think the stuff that REALLY scares me is like...stuff i already kind of believe in. lol.
or am at least...leery of to the point of never wanting confirmation.

like lol....evil witches plotting...
or demonic possession...
or anything having to do with religion.
