i'm gonna be honest the way this fandom has reacted to when namjoon makes small mistakes in english or when his pronunciation is slightly off has made me so damn scared of talking on here. i get nervous every time i'm about to post a video and u can hear me talking in it

does my english sound fine? well i sure hope so because i got bullied for not being able to speak well and it took me years to get the hang of it and i still get paranoid now about my thai accent slipping out when i get tired

ever since namjoon has become more active in speaking englisn in the first bbmas they attended, the amount of people making fun of his wording mistakes or his pronunciation is staggering

people had no problem turning them into jokes and claim its out of love and teasing when someone gets offended,,, you're making fun of someone speaking a non-native language they have to learn because it's enforced on everyone but yeah you go be racist out of love

the thing is you cant just tell me its okay or you dont judge... anyone can say that. people can say this and still make fun of namjoon the next time he pronounces a word wrong. if you have no problem making fun of someone you look up to like that, how am i supposed to feel safe?

anyway curb your xenophobia,,, some of you still do it daily and me and a lot of non-native speakers look up every single word we use just so we don't look stupid in front of you

also i feel so fucking bad for namjoon,, his english is amazing but people have made such a big deal out of his mistakes that he still thinks hes not as good as he should be as if there's not enough pressure on him as the leader already
