for a while I was questioning if I should move away from desserts and switch to savory food for a lot of reasons. but a few nights ago my whole family decided to watch the live action dora movie in our backyard on our projector. we set it up between two trees, started a fire
laid a carpet on the ground, got some blankets and some snacks. we watched it at night and it was cold but honestly it felt so good. at first I didn't wanna do it but during the movie I felt like i was sent back 10 yrs, I felt like a kid without any worries and it just felt so
nostalgic. i literally live on nostalgia. I realised thats what i get from baking. everyone relates to sweets, a 5 year old, a 50 year old. they're for those nostalgic moments. it never gets old. it made me realise baking is all I want to do
i want to be able to make a 5 yr old smile and relate to something I make and I want a 50 yr old to relive nostaglia with something I make. screw big fancy restaurants (no offense to any chefs LOL) and this is why a chocolate chip cookie is beautiful
