OMG they're so full of shit. A multi-million $ manufacturing roadmap? Running on all the front pages again. Please.
They announce a "boost" for manufacturing every few months. Here are some they prepared earlier:
June 2020 - Morrison signals more help for Australian manufacturing https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/morrison-signals-more-help-for-australian-manufacturing-20200609-p550wr.html

Sep 2019 - The Morrison Government is backing small and medium sized Australian manufacturers to invest in new technology, grow and create new jobs https://www.minister.industry.gov.au/ministers/karenandrews/media-releases/fund-modernise-manufacturing

Check the language: "eyes", "flags", "signals", "announces" a "roadmap", a "plan" for the manufactuing sector.
And if you believe these all actually happened there's a "future" submarine I'd like to sell you. For $7 billion.

And yes: $7bn is the actual cost of one new sub.
Compare that to what Morrison is announcing for 6 "priority areas" for manufacturing, including defence: $1.5bn.
So they're announcing support for the equivalent of one-fifth of a submarine. Over the next 4 years.
