Clangers is a TV show made for children and it depicts an other worldly species of long trunked pink elephant people called Clangers.
The show was narrated and produced by Oliver Postgate (1925-2008).

The Clangers live in a cave and have a very primitive life, with very little technology. They do have wheels and metal though. The family of Clangers that live in the cave have a very flat hierarchy with Tiny Clanger, the implies youngest, always getting their voice heard.

The family of pink mouse elephants have an agreement with another life form on the planet, The Soup Dragon. The Soup Dragon provides the Clangers with green soup for them to eat.

The Clangers don't appear to have genders, although the narrator does refer to each Clanger as either he or she. This might just be the fault of the narrator
