well this is going viral, cis people the thing to take away from this isn't just a rule ("don't do this, don't do that")

just: put yourself in the shoes of people who aren't like you, who might not have the same experiences you do. don't assume everyone grew up the same way!!!

also!!! don't assume you're entitled to any information about your coworkers they don't directly share with you, no matter how "woke" you and your company are! respect that there are boundaries between a work self and a personal self and you're not entitled to the latter!!
