Split the party, it's fun.

A thread
In the next episode which I'm "editing" right now we start with Theo and Finn going off on their own. Warren had to be late so we figured we'd kick off without him.

Theo and Finn are usually the unpredictable bruisers but when it was just them they were methodical and bantery.
Listeners of the show will recognize that the party gets split a lot in LGA. I love doing it. I love when they pair off because it creates two awesome narrative things
First of all, the energy totally changes and now it's two people interacting completely differently. Fayne snd Warren is a different feel than Fayne and Theo etc. And that's all VERY different than all four together.
Second, it lets the story have an element of drama wherein one pairs actions affect the other. This can result in all sorts of cool moments from one half screwing up and the other needing to compensate to simply a fun reunion where they comment on their experience.
If you're running a game with lots of roleplay and there's any element at all of open-worldness to it, you really owe it to yourself to break the table of their "don't split the party" habit. It expands the play experience a LOT.
