I guess we all forgot how there were apparently HCQ shortages, a drug that some people actually need, back in March and April.
And I guess nobody has thought through out the number of people you would need to give prophylactic HCQ even if the benefit was a 20% reduction in RR of infection to substantially change outcomes at the population level.
And I'm guessing nobody has considered the possible drug-drug and drug-interactions for HCQ that might be relevant in higher risk (for morbidity and mortality) older age groups that we might most want to take it prophylactically, assuming it did anything.
But nonetheless, here's a full-throated endorsement that HCQ might prevent covid-19 from a self-proclaimed expert on meta-analysis....
