By how we’ve relied on time (and subsequent idea of longevity) as means of validating love and proving commitment.

Perhaps many people like myself and the people I engage with sexually and romantically do not have the capacity to love beyond short periods of time.

Maybe instead of trying to remedy ourselves so that our love conforms to heterotypical standards of time, we should be finding ways to validate this particular expression of love. So that we can do it better, with no shame and with better intentions.

After all, now is all that matters.
