sweetener x thank u, next parallels are really clever and meaningful if you think about it. they're 2 sisters with whole different paths and personalities. both beautiful, in their own way, but yet so different. a rainbow wonderland and a harsh reality. 2 different stages.

both album covers are up n down. ariana's life was turned around in both of them. with swt ariana changed her whole mindset and life after manchester & with thank u next ariana changed as a person again after mac's passing and the break with pete.

the concepts of both albums are really beautiful and interesting if you dive deeper. keep in mind; these are ariana's first 2 albums who are completely made for herself and bot for gp. from the aesthetics to the lyrics, these albums are thought out concepts. MASTERPIECES.

the usage of color is also critical for our understanding of these projects. sweetener being the soft peachy beige, white, blue tones and thank u, next being moody purple, dark pink, black. the album covers also present those colors.

these are also ariana's first 2 album covers with color. the album cover of sweetener has ariana with wide open eyes and she is standing. for the thank u next cover, ariana is laying on the ground, and her eyes closed. make up also plays a role since the tun make up is darker.

not many artists can make albums that, from bottom to the top, album cover to production to lyrics, represent what stage the artist is in in life, but ariana did that twice in a row. she deserves all the praise. clever albums with deeper meanings then most people realize.

something i would like to add is that for many people sweetener sounds better in summer, and thank u, next in winter. this, yet again, proves the albums from production to lyrics represent where ariana was at while making these albums.
