#BREAKING: Through an open records request, we just received the 10 page HR report given to commissioners on allegations against former Elections Administrator Kerry Steelman. He was terminated after a long meeting today.

The report details six allegations against Steelman including creation of a hostile work environment, disparate treatment of female and minority employees, retaliation, unwanted physical contact, requiring employees to work w/o compensation, and politically motivated actions

The report says after interviewing all 12 permanent staff members and Steelman himself, two HR representatives found the allegations to be credible. It says 10 out of 12 employees expressed grave concerns over the morale of the office as a whole.

Some employees referred to Steelman's treatment of one employee as "unacceptable" and "unprofessional," and compared what she experienced in the office to a "battered wife."
