Antifa believes in countering fascism 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆.

The “by any means necessary” part is what usually throws liberals off. Until it’s too late.

Fascism was literally designed to exploit the weaknesses in traditional liberal ideals. And it works.

Antifascist action is always specific, local, and flexible.

Antifascists don’t rule out violence in countering fascism, but it’s a last resort.

It’s far more effective to counter fascism by alleviating the conditions that fascists use to recruit. Think of interwar Europe.

Antifascists understand that it’s more effective to fight fascism by alleviating desperate conditions than by fighting fascists in the streets.

Fascists invented the tactic of using liberal ideals AGAINST liberals.

Freedom of speech. “Tolerance”. Labor unions. Patriotism. The word “socialism”.

These forms were coopted by 20th century fascists, used as camouflage to organize an authoritarian coup under liberals’ noses.
