"Two kings to wake the dragon. The father first and then the son, so both die kings. “There is power in a king’s blood,” the old maester had warned, “and better men than Stannis have done worse things than this.”

Gee Aemon, which better men are you talking about?
Oh nobody, just this evil looking picture of Aeg from the history and lore series where they're describing what happened at Summerhall. Where he's cutting his hand with a knife, spilling that King's Blood.
George: Listen Egg was a great guy and a great king

also George: Aegon V had this weird connection with wildfyre that is shared by his brother Aerion and his grandson Aerys. Who both died trying to use wildfyre to turn themselves into dragons.
Aemon: Egg was my favorite, and I loved him dearly.

also Aemon: My brothers dreamed of dragons too, and the dreams killed them, every one. Sam, we tremble on the cusp of half-remembered prophecies, of wonders and terrors that no man now living could hope to comprehend"
Aemon seems to be the key to Summerhall. He's a maester with a massive amount of knowledge about prophecy and magic, wrote Rhaegar about how they thought he was the PTWP, was personal maester to a legitimate prophet, and had the ear of his king and younger brother.
When Aeg went looking for ways to try and hatch dragons, seems implausible to me that he wouldn't seek out Aemon's knowledge as Rhaegar later did. There's no better expert on in the Kingdoms and just happens to be his older brother.
I got tagged in this thread, so now I'm back on my Summerhall bullshit
