Weinstein used his contacts in the media to launch a viscous smear campaign to destroy the credibility of the model in the eyes of the public. She suffered from depression, an eating disorder, believed she was going crazy because no one believed her. It derailed her career.

@DailyMailUK speculated the model had fabricated the claims “in a bid to try and land a part in one of Weinstein’s films.”

New York Post: plastered a picture of her in a bikini on the cover, and labeled her the “‘Grope’ Beauty.”

The media blamed her for accepting tickets to-

a show produced by Harvey Weinstein after he had assaulted her. When in reality, she had gone there as part of the police sting operation.

Just see how the whole incident was misrepresented in the media in an attempt to make Harvey look innocent.

The public was constantly fed a few counter narratives from Harvey's camp.

1. There was "no physical evidence"

2. The victim "refused to cooperate" with authorities

Anonymous sources in the papers insisted this was nothing but an attempt to blackmail.

This is how the media demonised the victim, two months after she had gotten Harvey to CONFESS ON TAPE that he had groped her.

This is how the media portrayed her. She was a "shamed woman", "forced to flee New York". She did it "merely for a movie role."

It is said Harvey acted as a source to gossip outlets & had several tabloid reporters in his employment, who had no qualms muddying the reputation of his victims.

He frequently bragged about planting items in media outlets about those who spoke against him.

Several victims claimed they were afraid to come forward for fear they might be similarly targeted, as Harvey was vindictive & could ruin their careers and reputations.
