Yesterday at 2.30 am, my grandma had low BP and later on she had mild paralytic attack. We went to an hospital (which was almost half an hour away) Why? Because none of the hospital was open in their area.

Then as soon as we went to the hospital, at the hospital gate there was a security guard who checked everyone's O2 level. Naturally due to low BP my grandma had less oxygen level. But that security guy thought she was an covid patient and 2/n
Refused to let us enter the hospital. Even after seeing our grandma struggling to catch her breath, they refused. Then we called one of the doctors we knew who was an friend to the doctor whose hospital is we went. So he explained to them that O2 level is low because of low bp3/n
Thankfully now she's stable and her health is improving.

But this led to many questions in my mind.
1. What if she had severe paralytic attack and if we didn't had the doctor who called and said it wasn't covid, would they not treat her? 4/n
2. What is the protocol given to the hospitals there if it was an covid patient (would they provide atleast an ambulance seeing the patient struggle so much?) 5/n
We are living on a very thin line here especially a middle class person. Anyone who can work remotely, please do. Our healthcare system is f** up. Not blaming the doctors here but there should be some protocol to atleast check the patient who arrives at the hospital. 6/n
My solution?
Use the small cart like setup at the entrance where patients remain outside and the doctors can go in that compartment and check the patients from ther inside. 7/n
Atleast they could check what is happening to the patient like low BP etc and not just come to conclusion and not treat the patient. (End of thread)
