While everyone is shouting about Trump and his awful, no good, very bad performance debate, I want to point out something people seem to ignore.
Joe Biden is a goddamn saint and none of us are even close; let me explain.
Joe Biden is a goddamn saint and none of us are even close; let me explain.
It's 2016, you're Joe Biden, you've just spent the last 8 years of your life serving as Vice President after being in congress for 40+ years. You're in your mid 70's.
Your time is up in power. It's time to go home. Your retirement is here.
And he did.

And he did.
People forget Biden was gone. He retired. Would you blame him? After years and years of public service and end of his life, he left power.
He deserved that, him in the last few years of life he has, he earned it.
He deserved that, him in the last few years of life he has, he earned it.
It's 2018, and the sitting president was stoking the fires of racism in America. Biden has said over and over this was the reason why he came back.
Because he was watching a sitting president destroy the country.
Because he was watching a sitting president destroy the country.
Now, we can debate on this that it should have been someone else. I supported Warren, but here's the thing; this thread isn't about who was the best choice. This thread is about the character of a person.
Biden is old, he's 78. His life is nearly over. He was retired and gone from power yet this guy sacrificed any years of peace for himself and ran for president, and he won his party's nomination.
How many of you would do this? Ask yourself, after 50 years of work, would you come back and do more? Because I'm going to take a shot and say many won't.
Here's the obligatory: I don't agree with all of Biden's positions. But I don't remember that ever being how things work. You don't have to agree with him on everything to recognize the sacrifice he's made out of duty and responsibility for this country
And that, I think gets lost in the mix.
