Saw a post on FB that bears a paraphrase here: your president incited white supremacist mob violence last night when he told a certain group to stand back and stand by. And you know who stood back and let it happen: the other two white men on the stage.

And I know many of us sympathize with Biden and Wallace because Trump was so damn unruly that neither could get a word in edge wise. But let me say this: when the President tells violent racists to get ready to attack, it is the job of other white ppl to do something.

This is what we on the progressive left are yelling about when we talk about allyship and bystander intervention. It is white men who have the most power in the damn universe. It is your job if you claim to be liberal to check that shit and check it hard.

And finally Trump wasn’t posturing. He wants vigilante groups to violently defend his presidency and intimidate people who vote against him. Or just any Black person for that matter. This is the 2nd time he has told us he is planning a coup.

And as a Black person waking up in America today, I need white folks to understand the gravity of that. A president threatening racist mob violence if he doesn’t win. And a country that doesn’t know what to do. But y’all still screaming law and order at Black ppl. It’s bullshit.
