I’m in no way an American historian or political scientist but like damn shouldn’t we at least look at the office of the presidency and ask why it needs all the power it does? https://twitter.com/rhovodes/status/1311285290632450049
What’s are good reason that the President has control over federal agencies? Look at what has happened to the EPA since Trump has been president. It puts every government agency at the mercy of one of the two party’s political agenda, seems dumb.
Why on god’s green earth is the President the commander and chief of the military? Come on, we knew this one was bogus when Nixon was president.
You’re gonna look me in the eye and tell me it’s a good thing that a seated president cannot be indicted on charges after seeing the Senate actively block evidence from the impeachment trial? After stating that no matter what they were gonna vote no on impeachment? Corrupt
Executive orders kind of circumvent the entire process of the executive and legislative branch having to work together right? I get that in political gridlock it helps the president actually get stuff done but idk. (1/2)
With less executive orders, or at least limits on what can be an executive order, wouldn’t it put the burden to actually get stuff done on Congress? That incentives both branches to actually work more with each other.
President appointing the Supreme court Justices is kinda bogus but I’m sure that’ll never change. However, give these mf’s term limits bruh! 10 years tops, no reason someone should hold an office until they die.
When did the President start making tax plans? Isn’t that Congress’ job? I’m seriously asking lol someone who’s smart lmk.
Maybe I’m too stupid to understand why this President being able to do these things is good but idk, seems sus if you ask me.
Anyone with actual knowledge or credentials feel free to tell me how dumb I am I will not be offended.
