When I woke up to my own racism, I woke up to a lot of different aspects of life, one of them being white evangelicalism. It has been a heart wrenching few years attempting to understand all of the impacts racism has on our society and more specifically on the church.
The more I have studied, the more frustrated I have become with the current environment in the white church, so much so that I have abandoned being a part of any church that is governed by white evangelicalism.
What I didn’t appreciate, are the comprehensive historical details behind the current structure of white evangelicalism. I have read enough books on racism to understand 1619-1900, but not necessarily of the last 100 or so years. @kkdumez has filled in those gaps for me/us.
An exceptional piece of work here, please do read it, but also pray your heart is open to hearing some painful truth.

My heart aches for those who have suffered from racism, sexual, physical and verbal abuse at the hands of white evangelicalism. I pray!
