Not trying to excuse Trump for anything, but his tone suggests he was attempting to tell the P*oud B*ys to "stand down" and never hit the right words. This is still obviously a long way from telling them to fuck off forever, which is the only right answer.
"Stand down" just means "Hey, let's turn it down a notch, fellas. There's a time and a place for what you do, but this isn't it yet."
Please take half a moment to think about what I said before accusing me of defending Trump or letting him off the hook.
"He meant to say stand down" is going to be the spin the GOP uses. Don Jr. has already said as much. My point is even if he meant "stand down", it was still an awful thing to have said.
