That ‘how much should you spend on a date’ question from yesterday on here reinforce what I’ve said about Nigerians.

We are an incredibly dishonest people.

Here’s why.

We are too poor to go on dates really.

The fraction that does only make up 00.01% of the total number.
A lot of us have never gone on a date neither have we been asked to come for one.

99% of us have never even stepped foot in a fancy restaurant.

Go to Cactus on a typical evening and count how many black faces are there and see what they actually order.
With minimum wage set at 30k and average entry level salary set at 80k and inflation rate at 13.39% who is really spending 20k for food in a restaurant?

Well except you are a fraudster or an armed robber or kidnapper or the kid f a corrupt politician.
Maybe the real argument should be how do we increase up our earning power as a country because we might not have a viable entity in the next 5 years if we continue like this.

We are in a bad place guys. And it’s getting worse.
It’s hurting our pockets. Your rich boyfriend is actually poorer than when you met him. Believe me. It doesn’t take fancy education to know this. Basic Economics 101 should tell you this.
Maybe it’s time we focus on candle light dinners at home or do picnics.

Oh. We have no parks for that too.

We are poor people guys.

Remember you are only as rich as your country.
Things bad my g. Ask your Papa and Mama dem go clear the truth. Things bad. The country don jaga jaga.
