~ An indepth analysis on Pokémon GOTCHA ~
#アニポケ #anipoke #GOTCHA #BUMPONCHICKEN

In this thread I'll be doing an analysis on the Special Music Video released yesterday which, in my personal opinion was to celebrate the 25 years of Pokémon's trademark since 1995 ---->
and the 30 years of Capumon since 1990. The name of the song is Acacia, very fitting for Pokémon!

In the language of flowers, the acacia represents renewal, fortitude and pureness throughout the world. In freemasonry it'ss an emblem for the immortality of the human soul. ---->
The videoclip begins as the franchise itself began, in a greyish-green tone identidal to the Gameboy screen.

A very unexplored and melancholic tone since Red & Green are in Japan colours that represent War & Peace, being Fire & Leaf the national symbols of such as well. ---->
It shouldn't be to anyone's surprise that they animated the in-game reference for the 1986 movie "Stand By Me" inspired by Stephen King's novel "The Body" from 1982.

A tale of adventure, mystery & adolescence, beingthe railroad as a symbol of connection like a Link Cable. ---->
This image right here it's very fitting as the girl with the Eevee is crying because she was placed 2nd in a tournament and no female character was in RGB.

Also considering that Eevee is now the official 2nd mascot of Pokémon, heavily enphasized by 2018's LGPE titles! ---->
In the Type Experts segment we only see Gym Leaders and Elite 4 members, therefore the lack of Zinnia in the Dragon section, for example.

The Dark ones show up in the Ghost scene and vanish in the Bug scene, indicating their sneakiness and type match-ups as well. ---->
Since the SMV is named "GOTCHA" maybe the boy has a "GOT" in the name and the girl has a "CHA" instead, even if they are the singers self-inserts!

The Male Trainer could be named Gotzon, which means "Angel" in Basque and the last Type experts we see are the Flying ones! ---->
Charlotte could fit the Female Trainer - it means "free man" in French and she does have those France flag colours in the hair bands and outfit!

And with representing Kanto, the Legendary Birds are, in a way, "free men" but also "angels" since they are the Winged Mirages! ---->
After seeing various shadows of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon in the background to represent their illusory presence in the world, we do see the villians ones next, followed by the protags, being the first RSE Brendan since the current connectivety in-game began in 2002. ---->
That is why Leaf & Kris aren't in the shadows since you can't trade from Gen 1 and 2... it all began in Ruby & Sapphire, which is why in a further scene we do see the replacements for Elaine and Chase near Kyogre and Groudon, possible we'll have Gen3 ports for the eShop. ---->
In the Champions scene it's very sad that we never see Alder and Iris in person, just a high-five (the 5 in the gen and also the points in the star).

This represents that Western audiences never seen the full scope of Pokémon, and that's why Red has the Red & Blue mascots. ---->
That's the reason why Green Oak was given Venusaur because he's never seen with one in the any sorts of media, besides the ETOP manga where his counterpart - Gary Oak - had one!

Also, those Dragonite statues to foreshadow Lance's champion reign in the Indigo Plateau. ---->
