some spinal cords might've got damaged.. She was taken to Hospital and her brother registered FIR. Since she was alive and there was no rape.. Police only charged boy with CrPC 307 and the mother of the victim speaks only about the phy. assault part.

That day, her statement wasn't recorded.. Her statement was recorded on 22nd in which she mentioned about rape(in hospital, on or after 14th) after which charges of 376d were added and police in next 3 days arrested 3 more people. This is clear from DM’s statement. (3/n)
This was a separate crime committed on the same girl possibly on the same day.. but both of them have no correlation. It has been “made” Thakur vs Harijan to politicize the matter on caste lines.. it helps local politics.. Media is confusing people to make it look like (4/n)
Nirbhaya Case.. but it's actually different.. and while Rape is Rape and each must be treated equally, Media is unnecessarily “sensationalizing” by making up facts about her eyes being gouged out, or spinal cord being broken while nothing like that has actually happened..(5/n)
Another proof of this being the medical report.. There's no mention of rape in the medical report ONLY because was examination was conducted when she was brought hospital after “attempt to murder”. Also, if it was rape on road by Sandeep, the police would've used 376(1).. (6/n)
Not 376(2)(d) which is specifically for rape committed by Hospital staff.

While UP Police’s recent conduct is questionable.. their conduct prior to 23rd seems appropriate (from what I've read and observed). (n/n)
