A herd immunity data point: Borough Park in NYC has one of the highest antibody rates seen in the developed world: 43.9%, based on a huge testing program covering almost 1/3 of local pop. This week positivity rates of Covid-19 tests coming back hit 17%. https://www.wsj.com/articles/coronavirus-cases-rise-in-parts-of-new-york-city-11601318389
Love to see goalposts moving in real time. It's just the flu, OK well there's nothing we can do now, OK there'll be widespread antibody resistance soon, OK but the t-cells, OK but the false positives, OK well it's mutated. Just say the quiet part out loud and spare us the bother.
The really annoying thing about the ever-rotating arguments is that I'm sure some of them will be true at least in part but the people offering them circle through every possible objection and you have to start treating them as acting in bad faith, or it's such a timesuck.
