Cayetano says he& #39;s also saddened because Rep Lord Velasco& #39;s allies are supposedly on a text brigade asking colleagues not to listen to his speech.
Cayetano: I have always made it clear that I would abide by the wisdom of Pres Rodrigo Roa Duterte.. The meeting last night was not only about the speaakership but it’s also about matters of great national importance.
Cayetano accuses Velasco of being the PR guy of the Daily Tribune.
Cayetano:Part of the agreement made last night was that more than thee speakership,the budget must be the primary concern of the members of Congress, esp in 2021 because we are in a crossroads. Gutom ang ating mga kababayan. Takot ang ating mga kababaayan. Yung iba strandeed.
Cayetano says he& #39;ll now share details of lawmakers& #39; meeting with Duterte last night as well as smaller meeting among the Pres, Cayetano, Velasco, and Sen Bong Go.
Cayetano: So I told the President hindi siguro aksidente na nagpatawaag ka ng meeting na Sept 29, 2020 na reminder sa akin naa ikaw ang lider. At walang magaling na lider kung walang follower.
Cayetano: So I told him, Mr President, hindi po ako ang problema. Again, I am not the problem. Under the Constitution, Cong Velasco has to have the vote of majority of members of Congress.
Cayetano: I told the President I will honor the agreement. Tignan nyo po lahat ng inteview ko.. Ang salita ko parati, kung ano gusto ni Presidente, susunod ako
Cayetano once again says he had offered to make Velasco Senior Deputy Speaker last year. But Cayetano says Velasco refused.
