The fact that people cant recognize fascism unless it looks like nazi germany is very dangerous
I just read a few papers on how nazism was framed after WW2 in western german academia , as an exceptional event, one that was only confined to a generation and that the "new" generation had learned, had become better, that the suppression of this knowledge was beneficial
Even before the seizure of power by Nazis, the weimar republic was not democratic by any means, in fact the Weimar republic was founded by a previous administrator of the German colonies before they were dissolved in 1919
Herero, San, and Nama genocides are still being uncovered from Namibia, which was known as German SW Africa at the time, & tranferred to the UK after WW1. We cannot say fascism is unique in material character, consequences of colonialism & fascism are too similar to be unnoticed
Bringing this analysis to the so-called New World, the origins of the "neo" fascist can be traced back to settler colonialism of the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australasia, and even further back to large nations conquest of smaller European minorites and consolidation of power

Heinrich Ernst Göring was the first colonial governor of German SW Africa (Namibia) and father of Hermann Göring, one of Hitlers closest allies and creator of the Gestapo secret police and Luftwaffe aerial branch in Nazi Germany
