stories my mom told me that make me sad and also very very angry: she got married in early Dec, was super excited for Christmas & got everyone gifts, her in laws didn’t get her anything and acted like SHE was the weird one

also some context: my dad’s dad passed away while he was in high school so he gave up going to college in Boston to take care of everyone (not that anyone showed any gratitude!!!) and then when he got married he asked my mom if his mom could live with them and she said yes

WHICH ended up being truly the worst idea ever bc my dad’s sisters acted like my parents’ house was their house, coming over without any warning, dropping off their kids for my mom to watch.

& when my mom was pregnant with her first kid (me!), she got all the Disney movies and had them in their boxes all nice. my aunt dropped off her TWO kids for my mom to babysit (no warning obvi) and her kids destroyed the house including those movie sets. AND YEAH IM MAD ABOUT IT

my aunts are honestly so mean to my mom (and my dad) and I AM OVER IT. THEY DONT EVEN CALL THEIR MOM. MY GRANDMA LEAVES THEM VOICEMAIL AFTER VOICEMAIL AND ITS HEARTBREAKING. Oh u know when they call tho?? When they want money.

one of my aunts also destroyed my grandma’s credit bc she kept going bankrupt(?) / into debt and putting everything on more credit cards and then used my grandma’s info to try to extend that lifeline. backfired eventually. she still borrows $$

this thread is all over the place but basically my aunts are literally the worst, I used to be close with my cousins until my dad and one of them got in a huge disagreement and the other aunt took it upon herself to make it worse and worse bc??????

that same aunt likes to act like she’s the most successful and so much better than everyone (esp my mom) and I’m like your kids actually hate you and aha not to be that person but my sister and I are EASILY the most successful out of the entire bunch
