The Candace Parker disrespect train; A thread 
Let us start with a little history lesson. Candace Parker is what we consider a generational talent. Candace created the blueprint for taller players to play positions 1-5, shoot threes, and handle the ball with a guard like skills. She is a pioneer of the game. #WNBA 
Throughout her decorated career, Candace Parker had negative labels that followed her, such as having an attitude problem and being intense with referees. Around 2016 is where we began to see disrespectful actions and snubs against Candace Parker for what reason? You tell me
Candace Parker led USA Basketball to their fifth straight gold medal in 2012 against France after scoring 21 points. Fast forward to the 2016 Rio Olympics, Candace Parker, now age 30 in her prime, was left off the USA Basketball team in favor of unproven players. How?
USA Basketball told Candace Parker she wasn't a top player at her position, which included Breanna Stewart, a rookie and Elena Delle Donne. Egotistical Geno Auriemma played a considerable part in this decision, and USA Basketball wanted Candace to lie about why they omitted her.
You thought Candace Parker forgot about the decision? May 15th, 2016, Los Angeles played Breanna Stewart and the Seattle Storm opening night. Los Angeles won the game by 30 points, and Candace finished with 34 points, 4 assists, and 5 rebounds. She went on and won her first ring
Since omitting Candace from USA Basketball, Geno hasn't won a championship since. Moral of the story is Candace Parker voodoo is real. Shout out to South Carolina, Norte Dame, and Baylor.
In 2019 @TheAthleticWNBA conducted a survey, and 20.5% of Candace Parker peers thought she was the most overrated player in the WNBA. The two pictures below don't add up. If any WNBA player care to explain this blasphemy, I'm all ears.
Whew here comes the mess. Derek Fisher thought it was a good idea to bench Candace Parker in a win or go home game. Candace Parker played a whopping 11 minutes as the LA Sparks lost to the Connecticut Sun. Derek and I will have beef forever after this debacle.
Candace Parker finished at the top of almost every defensive category and was awarded DPOY this season. However, WNBA coaches didn't include her on first or second All-Defensive teams. We've never seen this happened in the WNBA or NBA history. The snub is a case for the @FBI
Candace Parker the generational talent who exceeded expectations. The player who help brand the WNBA into what it is. The unmatched skillset, The mother who had a beautiful daughter and and got back to business. The legend who deserves all her flowers and appreciation.
