1. Here is the email I sent to Council tonight. President Newbille and council members,

I am extremely disappointed and concerned that the collective Public Safety Committee voted to not move forward the paper regarding tear gas use in the City;

2. particularly my representative in the 2nd district.

The medical community has documented its concern regarding the effects of tear gas on the human body.  Even more concerning is the research for women who are experiencing multiple menstrual cycles within one month.

3. We do not yet have the data on the implications of multiple cycles within 30 days but I would hope the collective council agrees this is alarming.

I do not know how to rectify the misstep of the Committee today; the same Committee that went over six months without meeting.

4. I am ashamed of this decision and the lack of regard for the health of the citizens and your constituents in the City.
