Here’s why self-assessment doesn’t work. One of the guys on a jobsite my hubs oversees felt sick last week but assumed it was “just a cold” and went to work anyway on jobsite 1. Over the weekend, he wasn’t better so went for a COVID test. /1

On Monday, he still didn’t feel great, but went to work anyway even though he was told to go nowhere until his results came back — except he did...to new jobsite 2. By the end of the day, his test results were in. Guess what? /2

He tested positive. So now everyone from jobsites 1 & 2 have to be notified. And who knows where this guy went all weekend? These are the people we are trusting to assess their own health.
