Along these lines, only 6% of likely voters nationwide say they& #39;re watching debate today to decide who to vote for

73% say they& #39;re watching to see how their candidate does

Pre-debate poll fielded Sep 25-28 by @YouGov — more about it at @CBSNewsPoll blog: http://www.cbsnews.com/live-news/cbsnews-eye-on-trends/">https://www.cbsnews.com/live-news... https://twitter.com/kabir_here/status/1310604769761918978">https://twitter.com/kabir_her...
So how did that debate make you feel?

Annoyed, according to 69% of likely voters nationwide

By contrast, just 17% report feeling informed

Results from instant poll we just fielded with @YouGov (n=1,039; MOE: ±3.4 points)
Debate watchers also overwhelmingly say tone of debate was negative (no surprise there)
Here& #39;s who debate watchers say "won" tonight& #39;s debate — these views are of course highly partisan
Biden scores 9 points higher than Trump on two qualities:
"Cares about people like you"
"Honest and trustworthy"

Trump marginally higher on having "physical and mental stamina for the job"

Saw similar differences pre-debate, which doesn& #39;t really seem to have shifted these views
This is kinda interesting, aside from just who "won" debate

Slightly more watchers say debate made them think better of Biden (38%) than worse of him (32%): nets to +6

When it comes to Trump, more watchers say it made them think worse (42%) than better of him (24%): nets to -18
Just to clarify, this entire thread is about likely voters who said they watched the debate across the country, which is of course a subset of U.S. voters more generally

Here is how sample breaks down in terms of partisanship
