It's wild to see the word "revellers" get such an outing despite the fact we haven't had a music festival this year.

It's a classic journalism word that I've never heard anyone use in normal life.
"The rain failed to dampen their spirits."
"Revellers plumped for the nightspot where they quaffed champagne and downed booze to escape the cold snap. Later there was a fracas involving a love rat. Several quizzed in Garda probe. Council tzars and chiefs and slammed the scenes."
I genuinely love journalese, to be honest. Real art to it.
We all use them. And then you have classic examples from officialdom, politicians.

People "on the ground" want a "suite of measures" brought in though. There's a "job of work" to be done.
Tributes "pour in".

Jobs "come on stream".
The best and my personal favourite is when it's Patrick's Day and they pan to the crowd and there's a baby asleep in the pram and "the excitement was too much for some".

It's perfect.
